IESM: ECHS Improvement Suggestions Needed ASAP
ECHS has become more or less a punishment for the veterans who are ailing.   When it was sanctioned authorities visualised to provide its members client friendly services.   It has now changed its motto and become a troublesome service in which veterans atre  told to visit this and that hospitals and finally to some superior serice medical officers say consultant in medicine, surgery, ent etc and finally to get a strong NO or NOT ENTITLED.   I am heading an association and a member wanted his child to be implanted a cochleor.   The child and her parents run from pillare to post and finally was told that only 50 per cent of the transplant will be refunded by the government.   When the scheme was sanctioned it was told that the present and past ailment of the members will be treated free.   T have referred the matter to Station HQ Kannur with copy to the OIC Regional Centre Kochi and The MD ECHS Delhi.   No reply has been received.    Could siome body help the poor parents?   My name is H/Capt K Velayudhan (Retd) Mob No 9447457524

 In the history of world army, you cannot seen such a cheated lot like the Ex-Servicemen of India who have been cheated since 1984 on the issue of OROP.   All the successive PMs, Rashtrapathijis, Defence Minnisters etc in addition to other senior Politivcians like Opposition  Members etc have been promising the poor Deaf and Dump Exservicemen that they will be getting the OROP.   It is like the marriage of Ganapathy the lord of Vigneswara which never materialises.   This proverb is going on in India since Threthasyug.

      Every time it is said that if it is sanctioned to veterans, the civilian counter-parts will also demand for the same.   Is there any civilian counter part for the poor veterans of the country.     Could any learnt politician explain this.

          24 hours on duty.   No leave even on Sundays, and National Holidays.    Service in the borders of the country where the temperature is vasrying from minus 0 to minus ......... The environment is even today enemical.    Had we not dedicated our youth there there would have been no country for you peop;e to govern.   Please remember that yiou are repeatedly cheating the veterans which will not be good.
